New Snapshot: The Newman Money Museum Robo-Franklin

I have a new illustration up over at the Beacon! This time I illustrated something that relates directly back to my own past as a student employee at the Kemper Art Museum. In the basement of the Museum is the Newman Money Museum. Inside this tiny museum in a museum is an amazing "animatronic" Ben Franklin that talks to you when you enter. The robot has been turned on for years, and as a result the face (which is a projection on a bulb) has the coloring of a warped tv. It's a delightful little gem if you ever get a chance to visit St. Louis.

Snapshots: Musial Memorial

Hello everyone! This is a new illustration I just finished for the Beacon. It's based around the pseudo-memorial that has sprung up around the Stan Musial statue at Cardinals stadium here in St. Louis. Stan "The Man" was a long time baseball player and MVP here in St. Louis for many years, and his recent passing has hit the city pretty hard.

New Work for St. Louis Magazine- The Hill!

I have 5 spots in this month's St. Louis Magazine for a feature about "the Hill"- St. Louis's mecca of Italian food. I had a lot of fun with this- as it let me expand on the caricature style work I have been pursuing with my congress project.

New "INTERSECTIONS": Downtown St. Louis

Well, it was only a matter of time- I have finally drawn the Arch into one of my illustrations. Got the opportunity to explore a lot of Downtown for this month's piece for the Beacon. Tried using more line and flat color as well- liking the vibrancy so far. Hope you all enjoy!

New "INTERSECTIONS": The Hill

This one was a lot of fun! I am definitely going to spend more time at the Hill now, I got some proscuitto from Volpi that was AMAZING! I highly encourage everyone to visit. A great example of a neighborhood that does an amazing job keeping it local and authentic.
